Nikki & Gareth!
I hope you're well and having a super week in this glorious sunshine!
Today, I thought I'd share some awesome photos of Boutique Bride, Nikki and hubby Gareth's wedding day!
Nikki & Gareth got married at St Fagan's followed by a reception at The Boiler House Grafitti Studio (Check out that art work in the Boiler House - AMAZINGGGGGGG!)
Nikki rocked our Deryn separates by Ffrog Bridal and paired them with sash & headpiece from Claire Hill Designs. Deryn is a charismatic two-piece outfit with dramatic full-satin skirt, overlaid with feather-embroidered tulle and complimented by a graceful crepe-back satin top - perfect for the relaxed modern Bride!
Nikki's hair and make up was done by the lovely Emma Kidby and the day was captured on camera by Jesse Wild! Nikki's stunning bouquet and all the flowers at the Graffiti Studio were created by the epic Forbesfield - those blooms..... SO DREAMY!
Nikki and Gareth opted for an incredible Jamaican inspired three course feast topped off with a cheese tower cake (this is making me very hungry......!) Their caterer's were Tom & Gwyn who own Milkwood in Pontcanna, Cardiff!
Annie from Ffrog Bridal and I LOVED our appointments with Nikki - and even though we were so excited for the world to see Nikki in her amazing Bridal Separates - we were sad that our fittings had come to an end! We all got on so well and always had such a giggle - a true friendship was absolutely formed!
Nikki wrote these thoughtful words about finding her gorgeous handmade Separates here in the Boutique:
"I was quite nervous about shopping for my wedding dress. I had no idea what I actually wanted, I only knew what I didn’t like and that list was long! I’m a bit of a tomboy and following a couple of visits to some more traditional wedding dress stores, I was feeling a tad disheartened. I really didn’t think I would be able to find anything that would suit my style. I went back to the drawing board, did some research and fortunately came across Rachel’s boutique.
From the moment I booked my first appointment with Rachel, I knew it was the right move. Rachel was so friendly and made me feel at ease straight away with her ‘I got this’ approach. Her choice of dresses is exquisite. Her small, but carefully curated selection of designs by Welsh designers is a breath of fresh air. All of the designs are handmade and more importantly, made to fit you. I loved so many of the dresses that I had to come back and try them on again to make my final decision, which was the wonderful Deryn. Rachel really knows the dresses (or as she calls them, ‘the girls’) and is wonderful at helping you find your match. I really appreciated how much she listened to me, and the suggestions she made based on our conversations, not her own tastes or assumptions. She’s sooo good at giving you a lift when you need it too, especially when wedding planning starts to all get a bit much – reminding you that it’s your and your partner’s day and championing your decisions all the way.
As a shortie, I never thought I’d find myself in a floor-length number, but that’s the beauty of having something made for you – I got to swirl and bop to my heart’s content in a swishy skirt that I felt like I was born wearing. I loved every step of the process, and meeting the designer of my dress and working with her to tweak little details is an experience I’ll never forget – thank you all so much."
I'm sure you can see the pure JOY captured in these photos (love the photo of Nikki and Gareth in the car!) - I burst out smiling every time I see them!
Nikki - you are a TOTAL BABE!
Big love, Cariad mawr,
