Laura & Matt!
I hope you’re having a lovely week and enjoying these warmer temperatures which are slowly making an appearance (hip, hip, hooray!)
I'm so excited to share these photos with you of our AMAZING Boutique Bride, Laura & hubby Matt, who had the most stylish & chic spring-time wedding at The Temple of Peace in Cardiff followed by a reception at Insole Court in March! Laura & Matt both looked EPIC and Laura totally nailed the #dobridalyourway mantra of the Boutique! Laura & Matt’s wedding day was beautifully captured on camera by Chris Denner from Your Perfect Day Photography!
I remember the first time Laura and her wonderful mother stepped in to the Boutique and Laura said ‘I would LOVE a dress with a cape on it’ - I introduced Laura to our ‘Margot’ dress, designed by Amy Mair Couture, Laura tried her on, and as they say - the rest is history! We made some alterations to Laura’s bespoke Margot dress so it was absolutely perfect for her - for example we changed the shape at the front of the cape so it had less of a waterfall effect and we took some of the length out of the train on the cape too - making it much more practical for Laura (but still with the same amount of wow factor!)
I’m sure you’ll agree with me that Laura looked like an absolute GODDESS - with her red lippy (make up by Monica at Minxies) and Irregular Choice shoes, paired with a Brebend gold headpiece which she sourced on Etsy and just look at that beautiful springtime bouquet from Amanda French Flowers - I mean, come on - WHAT A LOOK!
I’m so proud to call Laura a Boutique Bride, she represented who she is perfectly and I always looked forward to our appointments - she would always make me laugh with her wonderful personality! She’s an inspirational woman and one I am honoured to have met during her wedding journey - there aren’t many people who can rock a dress with a cape - but my goodness, Laura did, and knocked it out of the park! I loved that Laura & Matt walked into their ceremony together - such a lovely sense of teamwork and doing their wedding THEIR way! That really is something to be celebrated!
Laura kindly said these thoughtful words about how she felt about wearing her beautiful bespoke Margot:
‘I had completely given up on being able to find a dress I was excited about - all the dresses in the 'normal' bridal shops were the same and I hadn't found anything that suited me despite looking for months. Thank GOD for this shop! Sleeves, capes, lace that didn't look like an old net curtain - it was so refreshing! And Rachel is great - she really gets to know you and your style. The first dress she picked out for me was the one. And I'm beyond excited that its by a Welsh designer too. I came down from London for this shop and it was absolutely worth it. I have seen nothing like it anywhere.’
Thank you so much Laura, you absolute BABE of a woman!
Big love, Cariad mawr,
